Sixers vs Celtics- Game 7 Rivalry
Based on NBA.com, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics have a long history of game seven playoff history. As the Philadelphia 76ers were preparing for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Boston Celtics, head coach Doug Collins showed them film of the 1982 conference finals series between the two teams. That was year that the Sixers won their first and only championship. Yes, the odds seem to be stacked against Philly. There have been 108 Game 7s in NBA history, and the home team has won 87 (80 percent) of them. So, the team that has won Game 6 to force Game 7 has only won the series 35 times (32 percent). Of course, neither Andrew Toney nor Larry Bird nor Bill Russell will have anything to do with this Game 7. This is the sixth Game 7 in the last five years for the current Boston core, and they’re 3-2 in the previous five, 3-1 at home. The lone home loss came the 2009 Eastern Conference semifinals against Orlando, with Kevin Garnett out with a knee injury. The other loss came in L.A. in the 2010 Finals, with Kendrick Perkins out. This time, the Celtics are missing Avery Bradley. And with the way this series has gone so far, you never know what’s going to happen. Each team is going to make a few mistakes and errors, and one scoring drought may just determine the game. The Celtics have home court advantage so the Sixers are going to have to play their hardest. Good luck teams.

Blog #2 Gun Fashion
Is he or she packing? That is the big story in Gun Fashion. A one hundred and eighty two year old clothing company by the name of Woolrich has come up with the idea of crating clothes that look normal but can conceal handguns. It is a cool idea but I think there are some flaws in there. So what, someone has to get a background check to legally carry a weapon, if the store decides that they have to see a permit in order for you get the clothing then wouldn't that crush their sales because eventually people would become impatient. Another thing is, what if the clothes expose the thickness of your weapon, wouldn't that be suspicious? I think that it is okay for people to conceal their guns but aren't the chances of someone using the clothes to do something bad a little risky. Who would think that someone would come and rob you with the clothes when it is already risky for someone to run up to you with the muzzle of a gun pointed at your head forcing you to give them everything you have valuable on you. When you go to identify them you will say they were wearing chino kakis and a hood on their head like there is no one else wearing the same things he is. But, all in all the whole idea of having gun concealing clothing could turn out, bad. What if someone discovers this overseas and figures out the design and who knows what could happen...

Blog #1 Health Fair
Two 12th graders by the names of Shayira Farmer, and Sierra Blagmon came to class explaing the effects of abortion and how they felt about it. Shayira went first. She said, she went to the Youth Empowerment Program where they help teens that are pregnant, and have Sexually Transmitted Diseases. She also stated this thesis, abortion is murder and demeans the value of life. She also said, Adoption, Condoms, and Birth Control, are good substitutes for abortion. Then, she gave some facts, Abortion was passed in the United states by the Supreme Court in 1972. About 1.2 million lives are taken from abortion every year. 2.1% of women between the ages of 15-44 had an abortion in 2000. This was why the empowerment program was created to help prevent these problems. Also, Teenagers have more abortions than grown women. She concluded by saying that highest abortion rate was in 2000. Next, Sierra Blagmon presented her project. She mentioned a non-profit program by the name of project cuddle that is for people who want to give up their babies for adoption instead of getting deadly abortions. She also said that abortion is highest in African American females. About 45000000 babies legally killed every year. She concluded her project by saying that most abortions are by women under the age of 25. Both projects were both very educational and informative. Now I know more ways of preventing child birth before I want to have kids. Then after we heard some of their presentation, they had a health fair going on in the auditorium on the first floor where they had brochures on different problems such as STD's and child birth. They also had free stuff such as pens, fruit, condoms and other stuff of that sort. Those were just some of the things at the health fair. Parkway is getting healthy!!!

The top 10 MVP candidates
According to FOX sports the top 10 MVP candidates are, 10-Steve Nash, 9-Dwayne Wade, 8-Rajon Rondo, 7-Russell Westbrook, 6-Kevin Love, 5-Kobe Bryant, 4-Tony Parker, 3-Chris Paul, 2-Kevin Durant, and #1-Lebron James. I think that Lebron Jame deserves his spot and think that if he keeps playing well, he'll have his next Most Valuable Player title in no time.I also think that this year's MVP candidate votes will be really close because of the simple fact that they all are doing really well and they are really leading their teams. but, all in all I believe that whoever can lead their team to the Finals and or win it, have a GURANTEED chance of getting the MVP spot. But if not then, who ever else gets it deserves it. I really hope LeBron win the MVP AND wins the Finals so he can shut all the critics up that doubt him all the time. LeBron has the ability to win multiple rings because of his ability on the court. Kevin Durant is the same way too. I really hope that one of these guys wins the Finals because they will have a unanimous descion to win the MVP. I guess when the time comes around I will be able to see who wins the Most Valuable Player award.

A recent article on Fox News called "Taking Liberties: Arrested for reading the Bible?" tells about a man named Mark Mackey arrested for trying to preach the word of Jesus Christ to his local neighborhood in California. As he preached before a crowd of people he then approached by a California state policeman, and immediately arrested. Mackey then said, "Folks, this is what the world is coming to." I personally think he shouldn't have been arrested because my mom goes out on the street and tells everyone about jesus christ and never arrested for it before. Also another reason I think this man shouldn't have been arrested is because of the first amendment which allows the freedom of speech. The man that arrested him had to be apart of another religion because there is no way you should be discriminated against for having a peaceful announcement to make. It is just common sense, no one was hurt, upset or even talked about against this man. Did this man make his preaching so exposing, no. Did he ever disrespect anyone, no. Did he make it seem like everyone else was inferior to his religion, no! So, why did he get arrested, for no apparent reason to me. He was just doing what he thought was right. That is just what I think, that's it.

Most Marriages under 30
The article explained that most babies born today are created by mother's unmarried and under the average age of thirty. I personally do not care because the women can do whatever they want because they are grown and usually are over the age of 21. But I really do not understand why people are making a big about adults having unprotected sex. I know plenty of people that had a sucessful parenthood experience and they had kids before they were married.I like the fact that people are starting to be aware of all the babies being born to unmarried families but it really does not matter because again they are adults and they can do what ever their heart desires. But on the other hand there are those traditional families that believe that marriage is the first key to starting a family. My mother said that I should get married before I start my family. I really do not know what I am really going to do when I start a family, I might just wait to have kids and get married.I know one thing is for sure, I might wait until I am like thirty to start having kids, but until then, I am going to stay protected, no doubt in my mind I am not going to change this descion. But back to the article, the scientists are full of tested information but what I do not understand is why they would take out the time to figure out this information? Why didn't they do a study on the average children being born by women at the age of 21 or something like that.

Photoshopped or not?
Photoshop is a computer program where flaws can be corrected, blemishes erased, thickness is thinned, and coloring is fixed. To me photoshopping is cool, I like it because it makes everything easier to look at and it creates better pictures. I also like the fact that photoshop is easy to access and it allows anyone to look good. I used photoshop to crop a picture I drew into a background and it looked great. I added shading and all sorts of innovative props that look like the picture was an ad on the internet. I enjoy using photoshop.
Then again, sometimes people make mistakes and errors and maybe you will see an extra hand, a prop out of place or something of that sort. I really do not understand why people photoshop sometimes, because people should just be left the way they were.
Also, if I were to photoshop something, I would not advertise it if it is a person, only cartoons or something. If I were to mess up it would look weird and unprofessional. Photoshoppping is cool and all but sometimes people get out of hand and try too much or do too much to a picture. I love photoshop because of the ability to crop and drop. If I fail a paper, I can photoshop it using the help of a scanner and I could give myself an A. Photoshop or not, the choice is yours
